Pat McCabe
Diné (Navajo) Mother & Grandmother | Radical Bridger | Artist | Writer | Ceremonial Leader & International Speaker | Steward of Earth and Spirit Law

Pat McCabe, Woman Stands Shining, is a Native American elder, mother and grandmother, whose work explores the meeting point between ceremony and deep social healing. Pat was born into the Diné (Navajo) nation, and has also received spiritual training with the Lakota tradition. She travels and teaches widely on the indigenous science of Thriving Life, and her paintings are created as tools for individual, earth and global healing.

Her work seeks to revivify human knowledge and meaning-making, by restoring the holistic knowledge practices known to indigenous people. She is a voice for global peace, devoted to supporting the next generations, Women’s Nation and Men’s Nation, in being functional members of the “Hoop of Life” and upholding the honor of being human. She resides in northern New Mexico, and is moving into the stewardship of land at the base of one of the Diné peoples’ Four Sacred Mountains.
