Angaangaq is a shaman and elder whose family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North, in Greenland. He was trained mainly by his Grandmother Aanakasaa to become a shaman and the spiritual task given to him by his mother is: “Melting the Ice in the Heart of Man”. Angaangaq is a keynote speaker about climate change, and spiritual and indigenous issues.
In Angaangaw’s own words: “The Old Ones often say that when one wing becomes stronger than the other, we lose our balance, thus our flight becomes slow. I personally attempt to comprehend this as becoming a broken winged bird, and think of Mankind as being out of balance both spiritually and materially.”
