Maria Serra, 22 years old, graduated in International Relations, is a co-founder of Fridays for Future Barcelona and an ambassador for the European Union Climate Pact. She organizes and collaborates in events with FFF, Earth Uprising, and Oxfam Intermón, engaging with various institutions such as the EU and the Catalan Government.
She has been part of youth activist delegations at COP25, COP26, and COP27, undertaking spokesperson and communication duties.Furthermore, she is a media figure in the climate movement, having appeared in prominent Spanish outlets such as Spanish Television and Radio, Time Out Barcelona, El Periódico, El Nacional, FAQs TV3, RAC1, and Catalunya Ràdio.
Recently, she played a key role in the pro-Palestinian sit-in at the University of Barcelona, leading communication and negotiations with the administration, and, along with hundreds of students, succeeded in pressuring the University to cut ties with Israel.
