Climate Diplomat | Gender Equality Advocate | Environmental Activist | SHE Changes Climate Ambassador | Writer

Tafadzwa Kurotwi is a certified climate diplomat .Tafadzwa Kurotwi's passion for environmental justice ignited amidst the rolling hills of Zimbabwe. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the devastating impacts of a changing climate: droughts that withered crops, floods that ravaged communities, and the widening disparities they created. Inspired and determined, Tafadzwa has become a leading voice in Africa for climate action, humanitarianism as the Rotaract Harare west treasurer, and the empowerment of women and girls.

Her journey began at a young age, as she tirelessly raised awareness about climate change within her own community. Recognizing the power of collective action, she founded the Emerald Climate Hub, an organization dedicated to mobilizing young people for environmental sustainability and climate responsiveness. Tafadzwa's work extends beyond activism; with the Emerald Climate Hub, she develops sustainable solutions to climate change through innovation and technology in rural areas.

True to her belief that a fair world is a sustainable world, Tafadzwa is a fierce advocate for gender equality. As a She Changes Climate Ambassador, she highlights how women are disproportionately affected by climate change and champions their critical role in building resilience and climate solutions. Tafadzwa works tirelessly to empower women and girls as leaders, providing them with the tools and platforms to shape climate policies and drive ecological innovation.

Tafadzwa's work operates at both grassroots and international levels. She has represented African youth voices at global conferences, demanding ambitious climate action and the inclusion of marginalized communities in decision-making. Her ability to bridge the gap between theory and practice has earned her the respect of policymakers, environmentalists, and communities alike. With unwavering determination, Tafadzwa has co- authored Wait Don't Waste It, a Childrens
climate change book and articles, inspiring a new generation of environmental activists. Tafadzwa Kurotwi is not merely a climate activist; she is a force of nature, reshaping the discourse around environmentalism and empowering those often left behind. Her work stands as a testament to the belief that a greener, more equitable future is within reach, but only if those most vulnerable are given the chance to lead.
