
Dr. Britt Wray (PhD) is a writer, science communicator, and climate psychologist dedicated to helping people navigate the emotional and societal challenges of the climate crisis. She directs CIRCLE at Stanford Psychiatry, a research and action initiative focused on resilience, climate leadership, and emotional wellbeing.
Britt is the author of two books Generation Dread: Finding Purpose in an Age of Climate Crisis and Rise of the Necrofauna: the Science, Ethics and Risks of De-Extinction. She creates spaces for understanding, dialogue, and meaningful action, including her widely read newsletter on building courage in the face of climate uncertainty.
A trained scientist with a PhD in science communication, Britt has shared her work through podcasts, radio, and television, and speaks internationally about the intersections of climate, mental health, and community. Her work inspires thoughtful action and hope amid the climate crisis.
