Jewel Ndung’u is a lawyer and climate justice advocate from Nairobi, Kenya, passionate about building resilient and sustainable communities. She is the Director for Policy and Advocacy at Kenya Ni Mimi, where she creates spaces for youth civic participation, and Head of Programs at Mviringo Africa, leading projects on the circular economy, sustainable development and climate education. She also supports Sustainable Kenya by connecting small businesses with sustainable practices, and previously contributed to research with the Youth Sustainable Development Network.Jewel’s advocacy is grounded in decolonial thought, believing that true justice must be rooted in African realities. In 2023, she was the youngest scholarship recipient at the Third World Approaches to International Law Summer Academy in Bogotá, Colombia. Beyond policy and advocacy, she enjoys hosting book readings, conversation cafés, and youth dialogues — weaving together storytelling, care and community resilience.
